Mazzotti Farms

Last week Joseph was on fall break from school and we decided to take advantage of the season and go to a pumpkin patch. We went with some of the other kids from Joseph's class up to Mazzotti Farms. They did a short educational part for the kids on the different kinds of pumpkins, gourds and Indian corn before they let the kids loose to pick out their own corn, gourd and pumpkins. Then they were able to go through the corn maze, down the slide a bunch of times and pet the animals. The kids all had a blast playing together and it was fun for me to get to know some of the parents better.

Learning about different pumpkins. Did you know that BLUE pumpkins are the best to use for making pies and breads.

Wahoo!!!

The needy Donkey. He would cry and cry until you would rub his ears. We think he was missing Shrek. :)

I'm so glad you're able to participate on these extra field trips and off-day excursions, Lyns; you're right - it is a wonderful opportunity to get better acquainted with other parents and Joseph's new friends. I can't get over how much he seems to have grown into a little boy even since September!!! (Tell 'im to cut that out, will ya?) Seriously, he is ADORABLE - Great photos - Gr-Gpa, Mary & I appreciate them so much! Helps us feel we're getting to be a little part of his life especially when we're so far apart. Keep up the good photography, Bright Eyes! We Luv ya!
