So about a month ago I got a calling that I was pretty sure I would never get and one I didn't really want at first, it pulled me way out of my comfort zone. It was to be the Young Women's basketball coach. I will admit I laughed really hard when they extended me this calling and I told the second counselor that he had the wrong girl seeing as how I knew absolutely NOTHING about the game, but I accepted the challenge.
As the season began I was nervous, awkward and really hung back and just let the other coaches work with the girls, but after a few practices and games I began to find my comfort level and really started to enjoy my calling. Well our season has come to an end and I am really going to miss the time I have spent with these girls.
These young women are truly amazing and have taught me so much about teamwork, perseverance and friendship. They go out there and play with all they have got, they give every teammate a chance to have the ball and shoot, they encourage each other, they play injured and they have fun while doing it. I am truly going to miss getting the chance to spend Saturdays with them and I am so grateful for the opportunity I was given to step outside my comfort zone and try something new.

Time for an upgrade
Last year for Joseph's birthday he picked out some cars he wanted. Well he picked a Lexus and a Dodge Viper and he has driven them hard for the last few months, and the other day the Lexus took quite a spill down the stairs and the wheels broke.
Well Joseph walks over to me and says mommy fix it, when I realize that it can't be fixed Joseph looks at me matter of faculty and says well then I need the Mercedes now. His dad is so proud!
