Tiny Town

So during the summer I try to find new and exciting activities for us to do and this year we went to Tiny Town. It is such a cool little place that isn't to far from town and perfect for a half day trip. The kids had a blast riding the train, checking out all the little houses and playing on the playground while having a picnic.

Happy Birthday Ben

This year for Ben's birthday we had a nice quiet celebration at home with just the family. I had been teasing Ben all day that once he opened his present he wouldn't want to do anything else that night and he kept saying no that's not true, but I was right. :) We had a yummy dinner of Chicken Parmesan, Spaghetti, Green Beans and Spinach Salad and for dessert homemade Peach Cobbler. Once we finished eating Joseph could not wait to have Ben open his gifts, since he had been keeping it a secret for weeks and couldn't hold it in any longer. I gave Ben a new gun which kept him busy the rest of the night and he also got some new movies from Joseph and Mom and Dad. It was a great celebration and we love getting to spoil Ben, he works so hard he deserves it and so much more.

We love you Daddy/Ben !!

Ready to eat!!

Pure happiness

Anyone up for a movie?

James Taylor

This year as an early birthday present for Ben I took him up to Red Rocks to see James Taylor. Ben grew up listening to his music and when we were first married we would listen to his Cd's on Sunday morning as we would get ready for church. It was such a fun evening and ended up being perfect weather, it had started out pretty windy and was threatening rain but luckily it held off. We ended up sitting next to this very nice couple who couldn't help pointing out that we were awfully young fans compared to the rest of the crowd and they were right, but that didn't stop us from having a wonderful time.

Ben and I waiting for the concert to start.

Girl's Camp 2012

I had the privilege of being able to go back to Girl's Camp this year with the same group of girl's I had been with the year before. The best part of camp this year was that we were in a cabin with beds and it didn't rain so all our stuff was dry!! I was surprised at how many girl's in our cabin snored and if I go again I will bring ear plugs. :) We had a great week full of yummy food, fun arts and crafts, quilting, games, outdoor activities, firesides, dances and seminars. By the end of the week we were all exhausted and dirty but had so much fun we would do it again in a heartbeat. I am in awe of these amazing young women and their strength and testimonies during these challenging times. I hope I get to go again because I love the girls so much and  it is a perfect excuse for me to be super girly for a week.
