On our drive up to Idaho a week ago, early in the morning we hit a deer just outside of Jackson,WY. Ben was able to push the hood down enough that we could make it to his parents house. We are so lucky that none of us were hurt only scared to death.

Rainy Memories
I love everything about the rain. The way it smells before and after it rains, the sound it makes when it hits the ground and just watching it fall from the clouds. It is one of my favorite summer time activities to play in the rain, so this afternoon we had a nice little rain storm come through Denver and I thought as I was sitting in the living room folding another load of laundry that it was time to teach Joseph about the joys of playing in the rain. One of my fondest memories of playing in the rain was in high school with my girlfriends and we splashed in the puddles until we were soaked and giggling like little girls.
So after a few minutes of convincing him that it was ok to get our clothes wet he agreed to come out and play with me. The rain was cool and coming down gently so you didn't get soaked instantly and there was a nice summer breeze blowing.
We splashed in the puddles, watched the leaves race each other down the gutter, laughed until our sides hurt and made some wonderful memories.
