Spring Break Fun

This year we got our first true snow storm on the first day of Spring Break. Joseph was thrilled to finally have snow to play in and it really only messed with our plans for a couple of the days. Once the snow had melted we resumed our activities. Too bad I only took pictures from one of our adventures. :( We had a great time at the zoo and I finally got to see the new exhibit, I think I was more excited then the kids.

Denver Museum of Nature and Science Field Trip

I had the opportunity to go with Joseph on his field trip to the Denver Museum of Nature and Science and Planetarium. It was a fun and busy day of trying to see everything, sadly we didn't make it to every exhibit but we were able to hit the highlights and the planetarium show on our Solar System was incredible. I am so thankful that I am able to share in these experiences with Joseph.

Weekend trip to Elko

So a long time ago, in March Ben had a business trip to Twin Falls, ID which happens to not be very far from Elko, NV so I tagged along and Ben dropped me off at Dixie's while he went to his meeting. I had a great time just hanging out with Zach, Dixie, Melanie and Calvin. Dixie and I were able to get in some good girl time and shopping, I got in some great snuggle time with Melanie and Calvin and the guys had some good guy time. We love and miss our family so much and wish that we could all be closer, but for now we cherish every moment we do get to be with each other. We love you guys!!

100 Days

This year for Joseph's 100th day of school he made a poster out of Popsicle sticks. He sure had one upset tummy after eating all those Popsicles, just kidding he only actually ate one. At school they did all kinds of fun activities that had to do with the number 100. This is one of Joseph's favorite days every year.

Ice Festival

This year I was trying to find new things for us to do as a family and we happened to have a free weekend so we headed up to the Ice Festival. It was really cool seeing all the amazing things people carve out of ice. I can't even imagine how long it takes them, because you have to be so exact with all your cuts. We had a great time and I think we will go again next year just to a different location. Cripple Creek is not the most kid friendly place when you need a bathroom and the only places open are casinos, but it was still a fun day and the drive was beautiful.

Valentines Day

So I am way behind on my blogging, but hopefully I can get caught up over the next couple of days. This year for Valentines Day I found this super cute idea on Pinterest for a scavenger hunt, so I put it together for Joseph. He really loved finding all his little treasures and thinking that Cupid had left them, since I forgot to say it was from mom and dad. When I did tell him that we had done it for him, he was disappointed. Thankfully he got over it quickly and just enjoyed his goodies. When my sweetheart came home he brought me beautiful flowers and the best homemade cinnamon rolls!! It was a wonderful day!
