Day Four: Washington and Oregon

So on Monday we sadly had to leave Ben's favorite place next to the river and continue our adventure. We did quite a bit of driving on Monday and not a whole lot of sight seeing. :( We made it all the way across Washington and part of Oregon. We were so glad that we made in to the Tillamook Cheese factory before they closed because we really wanted cheese curds and ice cream!! They had stopped production for the day but we were still able to take a tour of the factory and learn some fun facts about the cheese making process and on our way out we had some YUMMY ice cream. From there we drove until we were to tired to drive anymore and stopped in Newport, OR for the night. It is such a cool little town and we found this great little Irish pub that made a delicious dinner for us weary travelers around 11pm. My favorite part of the town was that our hotel was so close to the ocean that we could hear the waves breaking all night.

The bridge we drove over to enter Oregon. It was super high above the water.

Oregon Coast

More of the coast. The Oregon coast is just beautiful.

I just LOVED being surrounded by trees and thought the entrance to this tunnel was cool.

Ben doing a little cliff diving. NOT!!

A must stop on the way.

Interesting facts.
